PEG works by bringing together teen science enthusiasts with 4th and 5th grade girls.

Through fun weekly lessons designed to encourage creativity and discovery, girls explore interesting ideas in physics, engineering, and mathematics. Topics include electric currents, conservation of energy, airplane design, the fibbonaci sequence and more! Additionally, girls experience presentations by guest speakers (when they are available) - women with experience in engineering, physics, technology, and mathematics.

One study published in Social Science Quarterly found that girls are more likely to pursue physics, technology, engineering, and math if they see women in their community working in those fields.
